Twitter gem updates: So long Mash, hello Hashie
A couple of quick updates on the Twitter gem. Due to some conflicts with extlib, we’ve swapped out Mash in favor of Hashie. Michael’s blog post has the low down on the move. Thanks to hassox for the patch!
New feature: Tweeple search
Last night the Twitter team opened up the user search method on the API and I couldn’t resist adding this feature to the gem:
# search for our favorite South Bend rubyist tweeps = client.user_search('John Nunemaker') tweeps.size => 2 # huh? # will the real slim shady please stand up, please stand up tweeps.map{|u| u.screen_name} => ['jnunemaker', 'Gburgguy26']So there it is, go grab 0.7.5 and enjoy!
