A well-researched and entertaining history–of Ohio.
Seriously, The Pioneers oversells the scope of this book. Manasseh Cutler and the Taming of the Northwest Territory might have framed it better.
Even so, I learned a lot about the settling of the OG West during a period now glossed over in American history.
