Book Review

The Call of the Wild

The Call of the Wild
  • Jack London
  • Aladdin
  • 2003
  • ★★★★☆

I started this one after having read Into the Wild, another book set in the Alaskan wilderness. I can see why the subject of that book liked it so much.

Had I not given up on it thirty-five years ago, my vocabulary might be much improved today.

More recent reads:

Nathaniel Philbrick
Valiant Ambition: George Washington, Benedict Arnold, and the Fate of the American Revolution
★★★★☆
T. Harry Williams
Huey Long
★★★☆☆
Peter Stark
Astoria: John Jacob Astor and Thomas Jefferson's Lost Pacific Empire: A Story of Wealth, Ambition, and Survival
★★★★☆
David Grann
Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI
★★★★★
Kim Zetter
Countdown to Zero Day: Stuxnet and the Launch of the World's First Digital Weapon
★★★☆☆
